You don’t need anyone to tell you when your heart is broken. You know it.
SIGNS THAT YOU MAY BE EXPERIENCING GRIEVANCE;
- You may have an increase or decrease in appetite.
- You may have difficulty concentrating or focusing on simple every day tasks.
- You may be sleeping more than usual, or may not be able to sleep very much at all.
- Your chest may feel tight, as if your heart has sunk into your stomach.
- You may have a feeling that something was your fault, although it was out of your control.
- You may feel regret, anger, depression. Or you may even feel as if you're ready for your life to end.
Grief is a bare forceful being. Soul holds it close. Stays.
"Grief is not a numbing entity as with depression. I would liken depression to the want to crawl apart from the world, as if entering a snow globe and sleeping, unaffected by the cold. On the other hand, Grief is a forceful being. It shakes you awake, as your life upends and the heart implodes.
Facing this dark force is the only way to work through it. I imagine the soul as embracing this willful energy, holding it as if a wailing inconsolable newborn. Staying."
As time goes by, the intensity of your grief might lessen. You might be able to function more easily and return to your normal eating and sleeping patterns. Over time, some people are able to return to their normal routines, but that does not mean they have recovered from loss.
Unresolved grief is cumulative and cumulatively negative. It affects current and future relationships.
After a significant emotional loss such as death or end of a romantic relationship, people alter their life choices to protect their hearts from being hurt again. Have you ever done that?
